NATIONAL
HISTORIC REGISTRY DOLL HOUSE AND GUEST COTTAGE Afraid to own
that vacation home in the High Country because you aren’t there
to look after it year-round? Look no more! Here you have a
fabulously renovated 2 Bedroom cottage for your home, and a studio
apartment fenced away from the main house, but with a hot tub, for
your Caretaker. You can of course, live here year-round, if that
is your need, and you have separate quarters for your frequent
guests. Walk to gaming in this National Historic District
Mining/Gambling community.
From the moment you see the stained glass front door on the
covered front porch, and see the home’s address in stained glass
in the transom, you know you’re about to see something special
once inside! You won’t be disappointed. Painstakingly and
lovingly restored for acceptance into the National Historic
Registry, you’ll find a totally livable 2 Bedroom home. The
“tin-roof ceiling” is really only wallpaper (you’ll have to
ask), but the brass light fixtures, coined woodwork, wainscoting,
and claw foot tub are original. The ceramic tile kitchen and
laundry are for functionality, and the lace curtains complete the
picture of your Victorian dream home. But the behind-the-scenes
work was done too: Insulation, plumbing, heating, and electrical
are what will make this home cozily livable for your year-round
pleasure.
There are 2 off-street parking spaces, and, located only 1 ½
blocks from the casinos, you’ll be the envy of those who have to
walk far longer distances just to find a parking space for their
car!
The 273 sq. ft. studio guest/Caretaker cottage is behind a privacy
fence from the main house, has its own parking space and hot tub.
The town of Cripple Creek, a National Historic District, is a true
Wild West mining community, still active today. The casinos are
elaborate and true to the period, but since you can’t gamble all
the time—well, maybe if you’re winning!—you’ll want to
enjoy the many other attractions of the area. Take a trip on the
Cripple Creek/Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad, descend into the Molly
Kathleen Mine, enjoy the nearby Florissant National Fossil Beds
Park with its petrified sequoia trees, state parks and lakes, take
numerous driving tours, or just marvel at the picturesque mountain
views! Located a scenic 1 hr. 15 minute drive from Colorado
Springs, you’ll find even getting here a breeze!
